Devotional
Our Bible story today reminds us of how God cares about every single person -- even the ones who have done a lot of bad things. No matter how many bad things a person has done, God is super happy to rescue them from their sins. In the Bible story the shepherd went out to save the sheep's life. So, in real life, God also wants to save people and give them a new life. That's why Jesus kept eating with people who did a lot of bad things, because that was his way of rescuing them. And, now Jesus has given that work to us. So, let's learn from Jesus and eat with people. That’s how we can become better friends with people. If we show people that we are their friends, and we care about them, then sooner or later we will have a chance to talk about Jesus and they will listen to us because we are their friend.
