Devotional

Here's a question: would you rather be Peter or one of the other disciples? It's a tricky question! The other disciples stayed safe in the boat. It doesn’t look like they made any mistakes. But Peter got out of the boat and he learned something. Peter had just seen Jesus feed five thousand people the night before. Jesus had told the disciples to feed the five thousand people, and they did that with Jesus' help. Now Peter knew that he could do anything Jesus told him to do, even if it sounded crazy. And Peter was right! When Jesus told Peter to come to him on the water, Peter really walked on the water! He made a mistake when he was walking, but that’s okay. Mistakes happen when we are learning. Jesus helped Peter back up, and everyone learned something. They all learned that Jesus is amazing, and we can do anything he tells us to do because he is with us and he helps us.
