In our Bible story, the storm must have been really scary. The sun had gone down, so it was super dark. And the sky gets even darker when the storm clouds are out, so the disciples probably couldn't see anything. And it was windy, and the boat was rocking back and forth. It must have been loud. And the worst thing was that the waves were so big, they were splashing over the boat. The disciples thought the boat was sinking. So they were really scared! But they had one really good reason to not be scared. Jesus was with them. Jesus could make everything better. As long as they stayed with Jesus, the disciples were safe. Jesus wanted his disciples to trust him like that. And he wants us to trust him like that too. We all get into trouble, and scary things happen to all of us. But as long as Jesus is with us, nothing truly bad can happen to us. We might get really uncomfortable, but he will take care of us.
