The Bible tells us there was a man who could not walk, because there was something wrong with his body. But he had four friends. The four friends took him to see Jesus because they knew Jesus could help. But there were too many people in the house where Jesus was. So the friends got on the roof of the house. Roofs were different back then. Roofs were flat, so you could walk on them. And roofs were made of mud and branches so you could dig through them. It's like if you have a house made of LEGO or Play Doh, you can make a hole in the roof and then fix it right away. So these friends made a hole in the roof, and then they used ropes to gently lower the man down so he could see Jesus. Jesus saw how much the man's friends trusted Jesus, and how much they loved this man. So Jesus healed the man and forgave his sins. And then Jesus taught everyone that he can fix their biggest problems. He can fix our bodies, but he can also forgive our sins. So everyone learned something that day. This story teaches us to have the same kind of thinking as the four friends. We should trust Jesus, and we should also find creative ways to get people to Jesus. Because if we get people to Jesus, he can really help them!
