Devotional
In our story, God sent Jonah to some really bad people. Those people were Jonah's enemies. Jonah hated them. So Jonah ran away from God, because Jonah didn't want to help his enemies. But God wanted to help Jonah's enemies because God is so good. God is so good that he loves everyone. He even loves people who are really bad. So God was different from Jonah. But we should be glad that God is different like that. The Bible says all of us were God's enemies before. But God showed how great his love is for us. Even when we were bad people, God sent Jesus to rescue us. Jesus didn't just tell us what we were doing wrong. Jesus died to save us. He saved us from our sins so that we could be friends with God and live forever with him.
