Devotional
In our story, the three friends knew what was right. They needed to worship the real God and not a statue that the king had made. The king said that they would be thrown into the fire if they didn't worship the statue. But the friends knew that God would protect them. They were right. But not every story in the Bible is like this. When you read other stories in the Bible, there are people who do what is right and still get hurt. You might be wondering: Why does God help some people and not others? The answer is: God always helps everyone who loves him. Sometimes we see it right away, and sometimes we need to wait for a very long time. But sooner or later, if we love God and obey him, he will make everything okay for us in the end. We might get hurt, and we might get really uncomfortable. But God will make sure that our story ends well.
