David’s song helps us remember what is true when life feels hard. David loved God very much, but he still had many hard days. Sometimes he had to run away from people who wanted to hurt him. Sometimes he felt very sad and alone. But David knew something very important: God was with him. God was like a good shepherd, and David was like a sheep. David knew that God would take care of him, even when everything felt dark and scary. David could not always depend on other people, but the Bible says he found strength in the Lord his God. We can find strength in the Lord in the same way. If we love God and follow him, he will take care of us. We will still have hard days, but we will be okay in the end.
