In our story, Hannah felt sad. Almost everyone else could have a baby, but not her. She couldn't have a baby. But Hannah remembered that God can do anything. Maybe God would help her. So she went to the tabernacle, which was like church for people back then. Hannah asked God for a son, and she promised that her son would serve God. Then God gave Hannah what she asked for. And Hannah kept her promise. She gave her son back to God so that he could work at the tabernacle. That must have been sad. But after that, God gave Hannah more children. God gave Hannah three more sons and two daughters as well. Hannah loved children, so that must have made her very happy. This story reminds us that God hears our prayers and he is good to us when we pray. We can talk to God about everything that bothers us. God won't always give us what we ask for, but it's still good to ask. So let's keep praying. Sometimes we will get what we ask for. And sometimes we will just get more time with God, which is good too.
