Devotional
In this story, God's people had some very powerful enemies. The enemies were very mean to the Israelites. The enemies were always stealing the Israelites' things. And the Israelites didn't know what to do, because the enemies were so strong. The Bible says the enemies had iron chariots. Chariots were a lot like cars. They were big and fast and scary. Can you imagine trying to fight someone who is driving a car? That would be really hard! But God's people were so brave in our story. God told them to fight, so they went. Then God helped his people. God's people chased their enemies away, and the enemies didn't come back for forty years. This story reminds us that sometimes God tells us to do things that are scary, so we need to be brave. And when we are brave and we do what God says, God will be with us.
