Devotional
In our Bible story, God made a wonderful world. Everything was good, and nothing was broken. But, the garden still needed two things. First, it needed work! The Bible says that Adam and Eve took care of the garden. That's work! Even in a perfect world, they needed to work! Some people hate work. But work can be a wonderful thing. We can use our energy to make a difference, and we can make the world better. So, God made us workers. The second thing that the garden needed was friendship. Adam couldn't just be friends with God. Adam needed someone else to be his friend too! And, we can learn from that. Our most important friendship is our friendship with God. But, we also need to be friends with people too. And, if we make the right kinds of friends, we can help each other and do God's work together.
