Devotional
When Joseph was little, his brothers did something very mean. They threw him in a hole in the ground. And then they sold him for money. So Joseph had to go far away to the country of Egypt, and he spent time in jail. But God had a plan for Joseph, and Joseph became the leader of the whole country! Everyone in Egypt listened to Joseph. But then one day, Joseph's brothers needed his help. They had no food to eat. Joseph could have hurt them back. But he did things the way God wanted. Joseph helped his brothers and he saved their lives. That's what God wanted Joseph to do. Joseph knew that everything was part of God's good plan, and Joseph just needed to keep following God's plan. We can learn from that! Sometimes we have a chance to hurt people back when they hurt us. But God has a better plan for us. In God's plan, we don't have to be mean, but we can be kind. And if we're kind, we make friends and everyone will be happier.
